Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Cultural Forecourt in 2027: the venue
QPAC opened in 1985 and runs several indoor theatres, including the Concert Hall and the Lyric Theatre, where orchestral, theatre and seated concert seasons play. Since 2026 it has also partnered with South Bank on On the Banks, an open-air concert series staged on the Cultural Forecourt with the river and city skyline behind the stage. The first season ran in March 2026; the 2027 season is set for February and March. Leon Bridges (28 February), Madness (2 March) and Fatboy Slim (9 and 10 March) are confirmed in our data, and more announcements are expected. Tickets for QPAC events are sold through QTIX, the centre’s own ticketing service. The surrounding Cultural Precinct also takes in the Queensland Art Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library and the Queensland Museum.
