Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre 2027

About Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

Opened in 1995 in the South Bank precinct that grew out of the World Expo 88 site, the BCEC is primarily a conference and exhibition venue, but its large halls are regularly converted for concerts, comedy and fan conventions. Shows here usually use a temporary stage and either reserved seating or general admission, depending on the production. For 2027, Delta Goodrem’s PURE World Tour is booked for 13 April. The South Bank location is a bonus: restaurants on Grey Street and Little Stanley Street, the Parklands and the river are all within a few minutes’ walk.

How to get to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The centre occupies the block bounded by Merivale and Glenelg Streets at the southern end of South Bank. South Brisbane station is directly across the road, which makes the train the easiest choice from anywhere on the network. The Cultural Centre busway station and the South Bank CityCat terminals are a short walk away, and the CBD is about fifteen minutes on foot via the Victoria Bridge or the Goodwill Bridge. The building has its own paid car park, though it can be busy when several events run at once.

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre 2027: seats, bags and timing

Because each concert builds its own layout, check the seating map carefully at purchase. Allow time to find the correct hall in a building this size, and read the event’s entry information in advance. South Bank Parklands and Grey Street have plenty of food options before the show, and the walk back to the city over the river is pleasant on a mild evening.
