Silverchair Brisbane 2027

A Silverchair Brisbane 2027 concert is not on the calendar. The band has been on hiatus since 2011, and Daniel Johns said in 2021 that a reunion will not happen. Here is a careful look at the facts as of 9 October 2026, the band's touring past, and how to be told if the situation ever changes.

Silverchair Brisbane 2027: the situation now

No Brisbane show exists, and no Silverchair tour is planned for 2027. The band's inactivity began with its announcement of 25 May 2011, which put the group into indefinite hibernation. At the time, the members said the spark between them had gone.

The most decisive statement since then came from Daniel Johns in October 2021, when he said the band would not reunite, while leaving room for informal musical collaboration with his former bandmates. Johns has also indicated he has no plans to perform live again, even as a solo artist. Our check in October 2026 found nothing that reverses this. Queensland fans can therefore treat any 2027 Silverchair listing in Brisbane as unofficial. If a genuine announcement is ever made, this page will be updated promptly.

Silverchair Brisbane 2027: festivals, tours and solo work

During its active years Silverchair toured nationally and played the travelling Big Day Out festival, and Queensland audiences saw the band on those circuits as well as on the 2007 arena tour with Powderfinger, itself a Brisbane band. We have not verified individual Brisbane venues, so we do not list them.

Since the hiatus, the most visible activity has been Daniel Johns's solo career. In 2015 he recorded Atlas, the song used in a Qantas campaign and his first commercial composition, and in 2022 he released the album FutureNever. These records, rather than any live appearance, are the current outlet for his music, and they give Brisbane fans a sense of where his songwriting has gone since the band stopped.
