No John Farnham Brisbane 2027 concert has been announced, and none will be. Farnham stated in May 2026 that, after the surgeries that followed his 2022 cancer diagnosis, singing on stage is not something he can consider again. This page offers a respectful, checked summary for Queensland fans as of 9 October 2026.

John Farnham Brisbane 2027: where things stand

There is no Farnham date in Brisbane in 2027 and no tour. The reason is his health. In August 2022 he had a lengthy operation to remove a tumour from his mouth, with reconstruction of the jaw, and spent time in intensive care afterwards. He was confirmed cancer-free in August 2023.

Despite that good news, he has since made his position on performing clear. In May 2026 he said the surgeries to his mouth and face mean that singing on stage is not something he can consider again. He has stepped away from public performance. For Brisbane fans, the practical conclusion is simple: any advertised 2027 Farnham concert in the city is not official.

John Farnham Brisbane 2027: a voice heard across Queensland

Farnham toured nationally for decades, and Queensland audiences were part of his major runs, including The Last Time Tour of 2002 and 2003, which was promoted as his farewell at the time although he later returned to performing. We have not verified specific Brisbane venues, so we do not name them.

What is beyond doubt is the depth of his catalogue. Whispering Jack, from 1986, remains the best-selling album by an Australian artist in this country, and songs such as You're the Voice and Pressure Down are still heard at sporting events and family gatherings across Queensland. The 2023 documentary Finding the Voice brought that career back into focus for a new generation of Queensland listeners, many of whom never had the chance to see him perform live.
